unsweetened almond milk
or coconut milk

ground turmeric
or 1-inch piece fresh turmeric, grated

ground cinnamon

ground ginger
or ½ tsp fresh grated ginger

ground black pepper
1
tsp
coconut oil
or ghee, if tolerated

–4 drops liquid stevia
optional, adjust to taste
Step-by-Step Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and coconut oil.
2 cups unsweetened almond milk,
1 tsp ground turmeric,
½ tsp ground cinnamon,
¼ tsp ground ginger,
1 pinch ground black pepper,
1 tsp coconut oil
Warm gently over medium heat, whisking continuously until hot but not boiling (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat, stir in stevia if using, and whisk until frothy.
3 –4 drops liquid stevia
Pour into mugs and serve warm.
Notes & Tips
Black pepper is essential for activating curcumin in turmeric.
Fresh turmeric and ginger give a more vibrant flavor but powdered spices work well too.
You can prepare a larger batch of the spice blend in advance and store it in an airtight jar.
