Ingredients
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder or carob for caffeine-free option
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- A few drops of liquid stevia or monk fruit to taste
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional 1 tbsp almond butter or sunflower seed butter
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Gently melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat (or use a bowl over hot water).1/2 cup coconut oil
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded coconut, cacao (or carob), cinnamon, salt, and sweetener.2 tbsp raw cacao powder, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, A few drops of liquid stevia or monk fruit, Pinch of sea salt, 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- If using almond or sunflower seed butter, stir it in until smooth and creamy.Optional 1 tbsp almond butter or sunflower seed butter
- Spoon the mixture into silicone molds, mini muffin tins, or a lined container.
- Refrigerate or freeze for 30–60 minutes until set.
- Pop out of molds and store in the fridge (they’ll melt at room temp).
Notes & Tips
- Coconut oil – Choose virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil for its natural antifungal properties.
- Nut or seed butter – Almond, sunflower seed, or tahini all work here. Avoid peanut butter during a Candida cleanse due to mold concerns.
- Cacao powder – Go for raw, unsweetened cacao (not Dutch-processed cocoa) for max nutrients and no additives.
- Sweetener – Stevia drops or pure monk fruit extract are best. Avoid erythritol if you're sensitive to bloating.
- Chia or flaxseed – Either option adds gut-friendly fiber and omega-3s. Just be sure to grind flax fresh if using whole seeds.
- Optional flavorings – Add pure vanilla, cinnamon, or even a drop of peppermint or orange extract for variety.
